UFC 270: Bout Losses and Replacements

Two of the biggest names in the UFC Heavyweight Division are set to compete for the god this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, United States. Francis Ngannou is set to defend his Heavyweight strap against interim champ Ciryl Gane. While Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueredo meet in the trilogy for Flyweight gold. But there is so much going into this event that it would be a shame not to watch.

Lower on the card, Michel Pereira looks to extend his winning streak against UFC newcomer André Fialho. Cody Stamann takes on Said Nurmagomedov while Rodolfo Vieira faces Wellington Turman to kick off the main card.

Unfortunately, many fights had to be dropped from the card due to scheduling issues and fighters pulling out:

  • Jared Cannonier vs Derek Brunson, one of the highly anticipated bouts took a turn.

    • As a result: Cannonier vs Brunson was moved to UFC 271

  • Women’s Flyweight bout between Viviane Araújo vs Alexa Grasso was pulled due to an injury suffered by Araújo.

    • As a result: Women’s Flyweight match between Kay Hansen and Jasmine Jasudavicius that was scheduled for UFC on ESPN was moved into UFC 270.

  • Ultimate Fighter winner Warlley Alves was set to face Jack Della Maddalena in a welterweight bout but had to pull out for undisclosed reasons.

    • As a result: He has now been replaced by Pete Rodriguez.

  • Ilia Topuria was set to face undefeated prospect Movsar Evloev, but Evloev pulled from the fight because of undisclosed reasons.

    • As a result: He was replaced by Charles Jourdain.

  • Alexey Oleynik vs Greg Hardy, hit a whirlwind. Oleynik withdrew from the event due to undisclosed reasons and was replaced by Sergey Spivak. Now, just a week before the event, Hardy has pulled out due to a finger injury.

    • As a result, the fight has been shifted to UFC 272.
